Teaching ESL Students in mainstream classrooms: Language in learning across the curriculum
This course assists teachers to identify the language-related needs of ESL students and develop teaching practices that address their needs in a holistic and explicit manner. It was developed by the Department for Education and Child Development of the Government of Australia. The course counts towards 50 hours of professional development hours (27 hours face to face training sessions and 23 hours of "Between Module Activities" consisting of readings and written assignments) Participants are awarded a certificate upon completion of the program.
Course duration: 50 hours (27 hours of “face-to-face training sessions” and 23 hours of “readings and between module activities”)
Number of participants: 15 teachers from different local schools in Macau
Number of sessions: 9 sessions

Certification: Students who meet the criteria for attendance and assessment will be awarded a certificate issued by Lexis Education, New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA).
